Dear friends and colleagues:
COVID-19 has revealed compassion and courage and exposed human frailty and folly. A deadly virus that knows no borders and recognizes no divisions in the family of nations reminds us of our common humanity.
These are uncharted waters. Social and economic disruption is sure to impact communities and families in all corners of the globe in ways we can hardly imagine.
What matters now is how we respond.
FHI 360 stands in solidarity with our partners and the people we serve. For nearly five decades, we have worked hand-in-hand with governments, civil society, the business community, academic institutions and faith-based groups to meet the human development challenges in an ever-evolving world. Now more than ever before, we will need to be creative, think and work differently, and do so in the midst of a crisis. We will continue to be guided by the best scientific evidence and practical experience.
In the months ahead, we will all be called upon to be our best selves, to show courage, kindness and compassion. FHI 360 pledges to do all we can to play our part in the global effort to overcome the pandemic.
With regards,
Patrick C. Fine
