FHI 360's gender team hosts International Women's Day event with George Washington University

February 27, 2014

Gender eventGirls' education is an important pillar for thriving communities. Every girl and young woman deserves to pursue education in safe, quality environments. The unfortunate reality is that gender-based violence remains a barrier to educational access in many countries.

This year, in recognition of International Women's Day, themed “Inspiring Change,” FHI 360 and George Washington University’s Global Gender Program are presenting an engaging panel discussion to build awareness of evidence-based solutions to combat the challenges to achieving girls' education. The event, "Girls Education and School-related Gender-based Violence,” originally planned for March 3, 2014, has been rescheduled and will now be held April 23, 2014 at the Elliott School of International Affairs in Washington, DC from 5–7 pm.
