FHI 360 has opened an office in London, underscoring its commitment to working with the United Kingdom and other European partners to promote vibrant, healthy communities. The announcement was made at The Future of Development Financing: Generating Opportunities that Deliver Impact, an event held November 5, 2019, at the Asia House in London. Distinguished development thinkers and practitioners explored new frontiers in social impact and discussed how innovative partnerships can bring promising initiatives to scale.
With more than 4,000 professionals working in more than 60 countries, FHI 360 partners with governments, the private sector and civil society to bring about positive social change and to provide lifesaving health care, quality education and opportunities for meaningful economic participation.
“We are thrilled to be in the United Kingdom and look forward to expanding our partnership with the Department for International Development [DFID] and other committed organizations in the region,” said Patrick Fine, Chief Executive Officer of FHI 360. “DFID and U.K. civil society actors have been at the forefront of responsible human development policies and practices. By opening an office in London, I hope we can become even more deeply woven into the fabric of the development community. I am particularly excited about our efforts focused on developing innovative financial solutions with new regional partners to meet increasingly sophisticated global development challenges.”
