Dr. Deborah Birx sworn in as the new U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator

DURHAM, NC — FHI 360 congratulates new U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, Ambassador Deborah Birx, who will lead the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

“The confirmation of Dr. Birx to lead PEPFAR marks a new chapter in the effort to build capacity for rights-based global HIV prevention, care and treatment. We at FHI 360 are looking forward to working with the new leadership at the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator,” said Dr. Timothy Mastro, Director of Global Health, Population and Nutrition at FHI 360. “FHI 360 staff across the globe are truly inspired by Dr. Birx’s scientific vision and passion for results and impact.”
