FROM THE CEO
At FHI 360, we know that LGBTQIA+ rights are human rights, and we are proud to celebrate Pride Month.
On June 28, 1970, the first U.S. Pride march was held in New York City. In the 52 years since that landmark parade, the observance of June as Pride Month has spread across the United States, and Pride is now celebrated throughout the year around the world. But criminalization based on sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression persists globally, along with legal and social discrimination.
We at FHI 360 stand with our global LGBTQIA+ family in the ongoing struggle for equality. In partnership with LGBTQIA+ communities around the world, we work to create healthier, safer futures for all people.
At the same time, we recognize that we still have work to do as an organization to create a truly safe and inclusive workplace, and I am committed to holding us accountable. FHI 360 will continue to engage and partner with LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse individuals and groups to create a world of which we can all be proud.
