Why is positive girl development critical to addressing girls' needs?
In this video, Andrea Bertone, Director of Gender at FHI 360, explains our positive girl development approach. FHI 360 builds on its successful positive youth development approach by adapting it to examine and address the unique needs of adolescent girls and ensure that they have access to resources for health, education and economic empowerment, among others. Positive girl development allows us to understand the interconnected nature of a girl’s vulnerability and support her at different stages of her life.
