What is the workforce skills gap?

00:00

FHI 360’s Ana Flórez defines the workforce skills gap, including the three main types of skills: cognitive, technical and socio-emotional. She explains that, to address the skills gap in a comprehensive way, we must connect the demand side (employers) with the supply side (education and training systems, as well as students and parents). Flórez outlines the negative effects of the skills gap when it is not addressed and explores how stakeholders can work together to bridge this gap.
