Finding the missing people with TB

Tuberculosis, or TB, infects more than 10 million people a year and claims more than 1.4 million lives a year. More than a third of people living with TB are undiagnosed or go unreported. In this video discussion, Robert Makombe, Technical Advisor at FHI 360, talks with Monica Dias from the World Health Organization, Farouk Meralli from mClinica and Imran Syed from FHI 360. They discuss examples of successful targeted interventions to find and treat the missing people living with TB, the importance of private- and public-sector partnership and the impact of COVID-19 on the TB epidemic, as well as lessons learned from TB health experts that can apply to confronting COVID-19.
