This article provides a historical overview of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and the challenges of recruiting and retaining the volunteers who host visitors. FHI 360 designs and implements some of the programs funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
