Martin Mittag-Lenkheym, LLDWilton, CT
Martin Mittag-Lenkheym is currently Director of APAC Energy Sales at IHS Vantage. Prior to this position, he was Director of Corporate Advisory Services at the Eurasia Group and Vice President of International Sales and Marketing at IHS Herold, Inc.
Mr. Mittag’s career began in the banking industry in the trade section of the Austrian Foreign Service with a two-year assignment in Hong Kong as the Assistant Trade Commissioner. In 1981, he joined Creditanstalt-Bankverein, Austria’s largest commercial bank. He was assigned to the newly established New York branch, with responsibilities for all Austria-related business. He was promoted to Vice President in 1985 and later was assigned to Tokyo to establish the bank’s first office in the Far East, serving as the Chief Representative in Japan. In 1991, he was reassigned to Creditanstalt’s New York branch and promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
In 2002, Mr. Mittag established his own business, the Wooden Boat Workshop, which was a unique entrepreneurial business model devoted to teaching wooden boat building in the Tri-State area (Connecticut, New Jersey and New York) of the United States. He sold his business in 2005.
Mr. Mittag received a Doctor of Law from the University of Salzburg in Austria.
Mr. Mittag joined the FHI 360 Board of Directors in 2007 and chairs the Audit Committee. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the FHI Foundation since 2013.
