Ana Flórez leads FHI 360’s work in global learning. She directs thought leadership and education research initiatives, develops new business and oversees education projects in countries around the world.
Flórez has more than 20 years of experience in international education, during which she has advised countries on education reforms, from primary through tertiary education. With FHI 360 since 2004, she most recently served as Director of Post-Primary Education, heading diverse and interconnected projects that focused on improving the quality and relevance of secondary education, school-to-work transition, workforce development and higher education. Prior positions at FHI 360 involved designing, implementing and managing education projects primarily in Latin America and the Caribbean. Previously, she worked at the Ministry of Education in Colombia, leading a wide range of interventions and policies at the national and regional levels.
Flórez holds a master’s degree in international education policy from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in political science and Latin American studies from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
