FHI 360 programs are designed to connect health ministries, doctors and nurses working in villages, as well as the consumers they serve, thus increasing access to vital health-related information and services.
FHI 360 works with health services to use mobile technology and wireless communications to collect health and disease data. We have developed mechanisms for doctors and nurses in remote locations to keep up-to-date with clinical knowledge. We have designed and implemented programs that use text messaging to answer individuals’ questions about reproductive health.
Through our Healthnet project, we host moderated email-based discussion groups for health workers on a variety of topics. On-the-ground health care providers from 150 developing countries participate in our online discussion groups daily, receiving vital health research updates. Messages are archived and searchable so that experiences and knowledge can be shared.
