Since the 1980s, FHI 360 experts have provided global technical leadership to address the critical reproductive health needs of youth. We conduct research; strengthen sexual and reproductive education and information; and implement HIV prevention, counseling and testing programs for youth.
Our programs identify and investigate key research issues for youth and disseminate the latest evidence to promote innovative program design.
Sexually active youth are at high risk of unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. FHI 360 has collaborated with partners to develop and publish more than a dozen manuals, tools and guides on youth reproductive and sexual health. Teachers, religious and community leaders, health providers and program managers around the world are using these tools to improve their youth programs. Our programs assist young people who are affected by HIV/AIDS through support groups for HIV-positive adolescents and comprehensive interventions for orphans and children.
FHI 360 helps youth realize the value of healthy behaviors. We partner with governments and communities on issues including youth sex education, HIV, pregnancy prevention, healthy eating and obesity prevention.
