Our research and programs emphasize the interrelated factors that enable women, men and youth to make informed decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. Some programs increase the availability of safe and affordable contraceptive methods. Other programs provide confidential and culturally sensitive counseling on family planning and prevention of sexually transmitted infections and HIV.
Our programs help ensure that young girls and women have the personal strength and confidence they need to control their reproductive lives. We work within a network of partners to combat gender-based violence, and we build support structures within families and communities to influence decision making.
FHI 360’s curricula and research on the special needs of youth and peer education have encouraged implementation of adolescent-friendly policies and strengthened sexual and reproductive health services worldwide.
