On October 10, 2024, FHI 360 will host a virtual roundtable — “Girls at the Forefront: Climate Change, Education and Investment” — to commemorate the International Day of the Girl. Featuring leaders from FCDO, USAID, Theirworld, the ARC Group and FHI 360, the discussion will explore the intersection of education, gender equity, and climate change, with a special focus on adolescent girls. The roundtable will be facilitated by young leaders who will bring their unique perspectives, insights and experiences to the discussion.
The discussion will explore the complex investments made by partners to reinforce the links between girls’ education, gender equity and climate change and will promote responses to the climate shocks that threaten to undo the progress made in education. This roundtable is part of an FHI 360 series of annual events held in honor of International Day of the Girl to shed light on the interaction between gender, adolescent girls, and education.
Engage in this enlightening conversation and gain a deeper understanding of how adolescent girls around the world are working to create enduring change in their communities.
