Tools That Make ART Adherence Fun and Easy for Children

MAY 2010 – In 2009, FHI Pakistan partnered with the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) and UNICEF to develop and field-test materials to help children and adults adhere to their antiretroviral therapy (ART). FHI helped develop provider training curricula, orientation training for community care workers and home-based care teams, clinical standard operating procedures, and job aids, as well as adult- and child-appropriate adherence support tools to make adherence fun and easy.

FHI Organizes Pioneering Workshop on Infection Control

DECEMBER 2008 — With the collaboration with the Punjab AIDS Control Program, FHI/Pakistan recently organized the country's first workshop on infection control practices for HIV/AIDS programs. It offered training in infection control and waste management for healthcare providers employed by FHI's implementing partners in drop-in centers that offer voluntary counseling and testing for HIV and management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
