In this section of the presentation, we introduce the concept
of STD management, including approaches to diagnosis and treatment
of STDs. We then focus on the syndromic management approach.
We review the four major STD syndromes that family planning
and maternal and child health (FP/MCH) providers encounter.
Concluding the section is a discussion of other STD management
issues.
